Homecoming
Earlier this month, I spent a few days in and around Chicago, my original home town. I was finally able to re-engage in a meaningful, in-person way with two other institutions that are very near and dear to me: the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and Wheaton College.

Gratitude and Grief: My COVID-19 Vaccine Story
I was directed across the room to the observation area, where I sat in a chair between two pieces of Plexiglas, to wait the requisite 15 minutes in case of any adverse reaction.
And it was there I quietly started sobbing, overwhelmed with both gratitude and grief.
